Overview

The Donations by Partner page provides a donor-centric view showing each partner's total contributions, giving patterns, and engagement level. This aggregated report helps you understand partner giving behavior, identify major donors, and track donor retention.

Accessing Donations by Partner

  1. Navigate to Donations in the main menu
  2. Click on Donations by Partner
  3. View the aggregated donation summary by partner

What You'll See

Partner Giving Summary Table

The table displays aggregated data for each partner:

  • Partner Name: Individual or corporate partner
  • Total Amount: Cumulative amount donated by this partner
  • Donation Count: Number of donations from this partner
  • Average Amount: Average donation size
  • Last Donation: Date of most recent donation
  • Frequency: Giving pattern (one_time, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, other)
  • Status: Partner status (active, inactive, pending, suspended)

Understanding Partner Status

Active

  • Donated recently (within defined period, e.g., last 12 months)
  • Engaged with the ministry
  • Regular giving pattern

Inactive

  • No recent donations
  • Previously gave but stopped
  • May need re-engagement

Pending

  • Has pledged donations not yet received
  • Commitment made but payment outstanding
  • Shows in Pending Donations view

Suspended

  • Giving temporarily paused
  • May have requested hold
  • Special status requiring attention

Find specific partners or patterns:

  • Search: Partner name
  • Filter by Status: Active, inactive, pending, suspended
  • Filter by Total Amount: Min/max range
  • Filter by Donation Count: Partners with X+ donations
  • Filter by Frequency: One-time, monthly, quarterly, yearly givers
  • Filter by Last Donation Date: Partners who gave within date range

Sort Options

Organize the partner list:

  • Sort by total amount (highest to lowest) - identify major donors
  • Sort by donation count (most to least) - find frequent givers
  • Sort by last donation date (most recent first) - see active donors
  • Sort by average amount
  • Sort alphabetically by partner name

  1. Click on a partner row in the table
  2. View their aggregated giving summary
  3. To see detailed donation list:
    • Navigate to All Donations
    • Filter by partner name

Analyzing Giving Patterns

Review the Frequency field to understand:

  • One-time: Gave once, not recurring
  • Monthly: Regular monthly givers (most consistent)
  • Quarterly: Gives every 3 months
  • Yearly: Annual giving pattern
  • Weekly: Very frequent giving (rare)
  • Other: Irregular or varied pattern

Tracking Donor Retention

Monitor partners over time:

  1. Note new first-time donors
  2. Track if they gave again (retention)
